Jesper Harrison (he/him) is an emerging artist based in naarm/Melbourne. Originally from lutruwita/Tasmania, Jesper was a part of Stompin Youth Dance Company for seven years. He has worked with artists such as Jo Lloyd, Phillip Adams, James Batchelor, Jenni Large, Kyall Shanks, and Melanie Lane. Jesper has performed in festivals such as RISING Festival, Mona Foma, Junction Arts Festival, and Ten Days on the Island. Most notably, he co-created a full-length dance work with Sage Price, mentored by Ashleigh Musk and Michael Smith, titled ‘Rival Planes’ for Mona Foma 2022. Recently he performed in Jo Lloyd’s ‘Duo Agitato’ and Phillip Adams’ ‘Fountain’ as part of RISING Festival 2025. He is currently in development for a new work ‘Post hoc’ choreographed by Jo Lloyd, premiering in the 2025 season of ‘PIECES’ commissioned by Lucy Guerin Inc. and University of Melbourne Arts and Culture (UMAC). Jesper is currently interested in sound design and using the body as a vessel for multidisciplinary contexts.
